Planning Your Christmas Ornament Buying Calendar

Plan a wholesale Christmas ornament order backwards from the date your shop needs the products ready for sale. Allow time for receiving, checking, pricing, display setup and any in-store personalization preparation. Confirm production or availability and freight timing for your specific order: a dispatch date is the date goods leave the supplier, while an arrival date is when they reach your destination.
Choose your store-ready date first
Your store-ready date may be tied to a display launch, seasonal market, online campaign or shop opening. Record both that date and the latest acceptable delivery date. They should leave room for the work you need to complete after receiving the goods.
Avoid relying on a general delivery estimate from an earlier order. The relevant timing depends on the selected products, quantities, destination and freight arrangement, and must be confirmed in the current quotation.
Build a calendar around clear milestones
Use this planning table for your own dates. It is a checklist, not a promised supply schedule.
| Milestone | Decision or confirmation needed |
|---|---|
| Display or sales launch | Date ornaments must be priced and ready for customers |
| Latest acceptable arrival | Time available for receiving checks and shop preparation |
| Sample review | Approved design, finish and writing method, if personalization is planned |
| Assortment approval | Confirmed SKUs, colors and quantities |
| Quotation review | Product terms, freight cost and the proposed dispatch and arrival timing |
| Order confirmation | Accepted order details and the supplier's confirmed schedule |
| Receiving | Quantity check, condition check and issue reporting |
Keep sample approval and final order confirmation as separate steps. A sample helps you assess the product and your shop workflow; it does not itself reserve stock or confirm the schedule for a later order.
Give the supplier a complete quote request
An incomplete request can leave important delivery assumptions unresolved. Send the following details together:
- Product SKU and color for every order line.
- Quantity for each SKU and color.
- Delivery country and full destination details, including postcode.
- Required arrival date and intended sales launch date.
- Any sample requirement or product questions.
Review the Wholesale Guide before submitting your list. The minimum is 12 pieces per style and color, and different styles or colors cannot be combined to meet it. Freight is additional to the product cost.
If you want a suggested starting selection, use the Christmas ornament assortment guide, then confirm the availability and terms of the actual products you choose.
Prepare the shop while the order is being arranged
Organize display labels, product records and your receiving checklist. If you plan to write names in store, test the pen on a sample and train staff using that design. The ornaments are supplied blank; retailers add names themselves. Pens and gift boxes are not included, so source and test these separately if they form part of your offer.
Review replenishment without assuming availability
Track sales by SKU, color and family size once your range is live. When considering a repeat order, check the remaining sales period against a fresh quotation and confirmed delivery timing. Do not advertise an arrival date to your customers until you have a reliable basis for it.
Build your buying calendar with a quotation for your actual order. Contact us with your product list, quantities, destination, postcode and required arrival date. Ask for dispatch and arrival timing to be stated separately.
