Start selling personalized Christmas ornaments by choosing a manageable range, deciding who will write the names and building a clear customer-order process. Your first assortment should be small enough to display and personalize consistently, with each design chosen for a specific customer or occasion.
WholesaleOrnaments.com supplies blank resin Christmas ornaments with areas intended for hand personalization. Your store adds the names or wording. Name-writing services, pens and individual gift boxes are not included, so allow for those separately when planning the offer.
Give each design a job
Begin with customers you already serve. A pet-focused store may want a different starting range from a general gift shop. Avoid choosing several nearly identical designs unless their differences serve a clear purpose, such as different family sizes.
This four-design example is a planning exercise, not a prediction of demand:
| Design role | Customer occasion | Display message |
|---|---|---|
| Couple or family ornament | A shared Christmas keepsake | Add names and a year |
| Pet ornament | A gift for a pet owner | Add a pet's name |
| Baby ornament | A first-Christmas gift | Add the baby's name and year |
| Photo frame ornament | A family photo keepsake | Check photo dimensions and wording space |
At our wholesale minimum, four styles in one color each require at least 48 pieces: 12 per style and color. Different styles and colors cannot be mixed to meet the minimum. A second color creates another order line with its own minimum.
Explore recommended wholesale assortments as a starting point, then adjust the selection to your customers.
Set up the writing process before advertising it
Choose a pen appropriate for the actual ornament surface and test it on a sample. Check legibility, drying time and handling with your intended method. Do not promise a finish or correction method that you have not checked yourself.
Practice common names and longer wording on each design. Set a realistic limit for every writing area, and show customers a readable example. If a name will not fit, agree on an alternative before writing.
Keep a simple order record containing the product SKU, color, exact wording, year, customer contact and collection or dispatch arrangement. Ask the customer to approve spelling and capitalization. The person writing the ornament should work from that record instead of a spoken instruction.
Make the offer clear in-store and online
Show both the blank ornament and a finished example produced by your team. Explain who adds the lettering and how customers submit it. Label photographs so customers can distinguish an example from the item they will receive.
Your product description should explain the available writing areas, wording limits, what is included and how collection or shipping works. If you offer gift packaging, describe the packaging you actually provide.
Work out your complete selling cost
Include the ornament, allocated freight, any destination charges, writing supplies, packaging, staff time and selling-platform fees. Track these separately so you can see which part of the service changes your cost. Choose a retail price using your own costs and customer positioning; a wholesale price does not establish a retail margin.
Before placing the first order
Can I order six pieces in two different colors? Our minimum is 12 pieces of each style and color, so six of each color does not qualify.
Are ornaments supplied with customer names already added? No. They are supplied blank for your store to personalize.
Read the Wholesale Guide, then send your selection with quantities, colors, destination country, postal code and required arrival date. Shipping is quoted separately, and availability and timing need confirmation for your order.
